Three primary objectives achieved with this remodel were creating an impression of openness and space, updating the finishes and fixtures, and providing lighting that generates an elegant yet comfortable atmosphere. To bring about a greater impression of size and provide access to beautiful countryside views, interior wall framing was removed and exterior windows were added. A skillful blend of traditional and modern finishes and fixtures evokes a sophisticated country house ambiance, which was further enhanced by the decorative accents of an extensive low-voltage lighting system with complete dimming and positioning control.
